This whole thing is horribly out of date, so I'll make it brief and edit it down to nearly nothing.

I live in Saint Paul, Minnesota. I just moved here in January 2003 (a refuge from the dot-com fallout), after spending nearly 5 years in Boston, but I'm originally from Montana. I've also lived in Colorado and California.

I'm a geek by trade, a software engineer, but I'm currently studying biomedical engineering at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. This is the field I started out in, oh so many years ago, before dropping out of school and getting derailed by the internet economy.

Opinions



I am a libertarian. I am agnostic. I think that everyone is accountable for what they do. I don't trust many other people, I don't trust the government, and I don't trust socialism. I believe in freedom and liberty. I believe in the right to be stupid, as long as one only hurts oneself. I believe in self-determinism and free choice. I believe that everyone has the duty to defend themselves, their liberty, property, and family, from all enemies, foreign and domestic. I long for a day when we're not all killing each other, but until that day comes, I will not surrender my arms. I believe that Republicans are just as stupid as Democrats. I don't trust the NRA, because they want to sacrifice the 5th Amendment for the 2nd. I don't trust the ACLU, because they defend all of the Bill of Rights except for the 2nd Amendment, which is the only guarantee that the People have that the Constitution will be honored. I believe that the War on Some Drugs is doing much more harm that good, crowding our prisons, and killing thousands of people for no good reason.
